The Bridgewater College women s track and field team opened the 2016-17 indoor season with four first place efforts at the Bast-Cregger Invitational hosted by Roanoke on Saturday.

Junior Amber Celen was named ODAC Women s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week by the conference office following an outstanding 2016-17 season debut at the Bast-Cregger Invitational.

The Bridgewater College women's track team was named a scholar-team and team members Amber Celen and Katelyn Senger earned individual honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Six of Bridgewater College's most successful student-athletes has been included on the 2015-16 VaSID Academic All-State team.

Bridgewater College sophomore Amber Celen has been selected as an Academic All-American after reaching three NCAA finals and maintaining a perfect GPA as well.

During her second day at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, sophomore Amber Celen set a new ODAC record and advanced to the 100m finals after winning her heat in the prelims on Friday.
