The Bridgewater College women's track and field team began its 2017-18 indoor season at the Bast-Cregger Invitational hosted by Roanoke on Friday and Saturday.

Amber Celen was named the D-III Scholar Athlete of the Year, and three other Eagles earned All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA.

The 2016-17 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State team was announced and 217 student-athletes from 37 colleges and universities across the state were recognized.

Bridgewater College had two student-athletes on the first team, as the 2017 CoSIDA Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-Americans were announced on Wednesday.
